Progressive Education: Policy, Politics and Practice is an important series of books addressing the meaning and expanding understanding of progressive education in an international context, past and present. Its titles include case studies of schools and learning communities, individuals, and networks of influence, considering the meaning of progressivism in education from a variety of standpoints. Child-centred education, curricula, and pedagogical ideas are all covered in books that focus upon progressive alternatives to conventional approaches within and across different socio-political contexts. Single authored and edited volumes explore pockets of resistance, aspiration, hope and struggle with a purpose to foreground examples of debate, policy and practice, situated within a global perspective. Reimagining education for the twenty-first century, books in the series range across time, drawing from the experience of people whose voices have often been marginalised, to help shape the future.
