Privacy Policy: Communities Mobile Application

QuestionPro is firmly committed to keeping you informed about how we collect, use, secure and disclose your data. Because protecting your privacy is important to us, you may always submit concerns regarding our Privacy Policy and our privacy practices to privacy@questionpro.com or on our site www.questionpro.com at Contact Us. If you choose to write us an e-mail, please reference the Privacy Policy in your subject line. iPinion will attempt to respond to all reasonable concerns and inquiries expeditiously. QuestionPro strives to conform its privacy practices, policies and/or procedures with any and all applicable international, country-specific, Federal, state and/or local laws, codes, regulations, and requirements (collectively “Laws”); and the industry codes, standards and regulations of various market and opinion research professional associations and/or organizations, including without limitation the ICC/ESOMAR International Code on Market and Social Research and the Code of Standards and Ethics for Survey Research of the Council of American Survey Research Organizations (“CASRO”), with whom iPinion is a member (collectively the “Codes”).

If you choose to participate in QuestionPro Communities research program, MyPinion (or other QuestionPro Communities Application) is software that will be downloaded and installed on your Internet-enabled mobile device. Our mobile application communicates via the Internet with QuestionPro servers or those of QuestionPro third-party hosting service. Please note that if you do not have an unlimited mobile data plan with your carrier, standard data transmission rates will apply. While QuestionPro may make routine software updates without informing you to keep MyPinion and all our applications working properly, the application will not materially expand or otherwise materially change the functionality of MyPinion and other applications or the information our application collects without your prior knowledge and consent. QuestionPro application will not ordinarily be visible to you during your web browsing but can be easily found in the list of installed applications. Our application (MyPinion and all Communities applications) may be uninstalled entirely like any other application on your mobile device. Uninstalling the application or disabling your Internet connection generally will stop the flow of data to us and may impact your eligibility for any Rewards Points. At the conclusion of the study, QuestionPro will cease tracking your data, and we will send you detailed instructions on how to uninstall application entirely.

QuestionPro is committed to protecting the security and integrity of all personal information collected by or disclosed to QuestionPro. QuestionPro will not use any personal information for direct marketing or advertising purposes, and membership as a panel member and/or participation in any survey(s) are completely voluntary. This privacy policy identifies the personal information that QuestionPro collects; how such personal information will be used and protected; and your rights.

data regarding your mobile device, such as your provider and the make/model of your device;

• the names of applications installed on or removed from the mobile device;
• the names of applications started on the mobile device;
• the usage stats of applications installed on the mobile device
• when applications are installed or removed on/from the mobile the device; the websites visited and bookmarked
• incoming and outgoing calls (including the area code, but not the entire telephone‐number nor the conversation) and when calls are terminated (inbound and outbound);
• when text‐messages, MMS‐messages or emails are sent or received (including the area code of the sender/recipient, but not the entire telephone number or email address nor the contents of the message);
• camera and music player usage information
• location data, if available
• metrics generally available from the operating systems of smartphones and tablet computers.

QuestionPro Communities Application does not collect the contents of the pages you view, your keystrokes or information that is entered into a web‐form, such as website ids or passwords, credit card numbers or other financial account numbers, or other private data or any data on a web page in a secure session. Occasionally, limited personal information may be included by a website in URL addresses. Please be assured that collecting such personal information is not QuestionPro Communities application's purpose and that such personal information will be deleted within six months of the conclusion of the study.

We may use a third party supplier to verify your identity and contact information to ensure the quality of our panel for our clients. We also purchase data from third parties and add it to our existing user database to provide enriched analytical data for our clients’ use and to provide additional survey opportunities to you. This marketing data will be associated with your personally-identifiable information within QuestionPro systems.

We collect from you, or from our Client, the following information about you:

1. Biographical information, such as your name, email address and date of birth
2. Location information, meaning data which reveals the geographic location of you and your mobile device – provided that you have given your consent.
3. The responses given by you to survey questions in the App.

In addition to the third parties described in our Privacy Statement, we may share your personal information with the following third parties:

Our Clients: In most cases, we collect, store and analyse information about you in accordance with the instructions of our Clients, who have a relationship with you (either as a customer, a participant in a market research programme being conducted by them, or as someone on their marketing lists). Therefore our Client will often receive a copy of your personal information so that they can conduct analysis on it, identify trends, and determine what types of products or services you – or people like you – might be interested in. When in their hands, the personal information about you will be treated in accordance with their privacy policy (which you can ask them for a copy of) and subject to the terms of any agreement you have with them or any consents you have given them.

Service Providers: We employ third party companies and individuals to help us manage and operate computer systems, and to manage and analyze the data obtained by us (including your personal information). Those third parties include, without limitation, companies who own and manage the servers and other hardware on which the personal information is stored, companies who help us to develop and maintain our services, and companies who provide analytical services in respect of personal information at our request or the request of our Client. These third parties have access to your personal information only to perform these tasks on our or the Client’s behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
