What are the best builds for Yi Sun-shin?

Did you know that Yi Sun-shin was inspired by a real-life Korean admiral named Yi Sun-sin? Just like its character in the Land of Dawn, Yi Sun-sin was a courageous fighter who pledged to bring glory to his country.

In Mobile Legends, Yi Sun-shin is a strong marksman hero who can attack well even from a distance. It has its own fleet and is very dedicated to its heroic duties.

Yi Sun-shin Strengths

• High mobility - In comparison to other marksman heroes, Yi Sun-shin has pretty decent mobility in the early game. This is great, especially when hunting and chasing down enemies.
• Can provide mission for the team - Yi Sun-shin has the ability to attack all enemies on the map, no matter where they are. Other than just dealing with damage, this also provides a clear vision for his allies of where their enemies are.
• Late-game beast - This hero is very strong in the late game. This is a good advantage since, most of the time, the battle will really stretch toward the late game.

Yi Sun-shin Weaknesses 

• Long cooldown skill - With Yi Sun-shin, you really need to work first on reducing his cooldown time. You can do that by buying items and equipment.
• No crowd control - Yi Sun-shin is basically just an attacking hero. He does not have any defensive capabilities. With that, he sometimes needs tanks and fighters' assistance to set up really good plays.
• Weak in the early game - Just like most marksman heroes, Yi Sun-shin is not really reliable in the early game. Thus, you must tone down your aggressiveness and learn when to peak.

Items:

1.  Endless Battle (2470): This build is very important for marksman heroes, especially for those looking for an item that can address as many areas as possible. With this, Yi Sun-shin will gain lifesteal increase, mobility, HP regen, and cooldown reduction.

2. Magic Shoes (710): As mentioned, Yi Sun-shin has trouble with his cooldown time. These boots offer him mobility and a certain percentage of cooldown reduction.

3. Berserker's Fury (2250): Given that Yi Sun-shin thrives well as the main attacker, this build will give him an attack speed increase and critical damage. 

4. Brute Force Breastplate (1870): The first line of defense for Yi Sun-shin is this item. This will give him physical defense and additional HP. 

5. Malefic Roar (2060): Malefic Roar is great in improving more the critical chances of Yi Sun-shin. If the game is starting to become a long battle, then immediately save up to buy this one since this works well in the latter part of the game.

6. Wind of Nature (1910): If mages have Winter Truncheon, marksman heroes have Wind of Nature. When this item is activated, Yi Sun-shin will be able to negate all skills cast upon him. 

Emblem

For this build, the marksman emblem is still the best choice for Yi Sun-shin. Choosing the marksman emblem will grant you an increase in attack speed, adaptive attack, and lifesteal capabilities. For the three talents to be picked, most users combine marksman talents with those under the assassin emblem set to give Yi Sun-shin an edge against other heroes:

• Fatal - Gain increase in critical chance and critical damage
• Weapon Master - Physical attack gained from equipment, emblem, talent, and skills are increased by 5%
• Killing Spree - Recover 8% of Max HP and gain 15% movement speed for a period of time after killing one enemy hero.

Use This Build If…

• You have burst damage - This build is mostly used by marksman heroes since they have good burst damage. 
• Your enemies are fighters and assassins - Burst damage is a good chance to penetrate the defense of thick fighters and assassins.
• You are taking the gold lane - When you take on the gold lane, you can save up gold faster than others. This is important because the more items you have bought, the deadlier your burst damage will be. Thus, this will help you outskill the enemy team.

1. Berserker's Fury (2250): As a long-range hero, this is beneficial for Yi Sun-shin since it offers an attack speed boost and critical chance increase.

2. Magic Shoes (710): Most marksman heroes use Swift Boots. But these boots are the most suitable for Yi Sun-shin since they also address his cooldown time issues.

3. Endless Battle (2470): Endless Battle is actually the second most expensive attack item in Mobile Legends. You can really say that the price is worth it when you check the tons of benefits that your hero can gain from it, such as mana regeneration, cooldown reduction, mobility, lifesteal, and more. 

4. Blade of Despair (3010): Blade of Despair is great for the mid-late game. This item is the top attack item available as it offers extreme damage added to the hero.

5. War Axe (2100) - War Axe is not frequently used by marksman heroes. However, this item can provide physical damage, HP increase, and cooldown reduction to Yin Sun-shin.

6. Malefic Roar (2060): If you are fighting against thick fighters and tanks, Malefic Roar will help you penetrate their defense.

For the burst build, you can follow this leveling-up sequence:

Emblem

Most users under this build prefer the assassin emblem set rather than the marksman one since it’s much more beneficial for heroes that are reliable in killing enemies. For the talents, you can utilize the following:

• Rupture - Gain adaptive penetration
• Master Assassin - Increase damage when up against lone heroes
• Killing Spree - Gain increase in regen and mobility after a kill

Battle Spells

Just like the previous build, you can use either Flicker or Purify for Yi Sun-shin.

1. Jungle

Do not rely on others, focus on yourself.

Jungle build is for junglers only. Junglers are those who are considered the core and heart of the team. If you are the jungler, you should not be complacent because all of your allies rely on you for damage.

Use This Build If…

• You are the jungler - This build is mainly aligned with jungler heroes. If you are not about to take on the role of being the core jungler, then do not use this.
• You know how to use Yi Sun-shin - Being the jungler means being the core damage dealer. If you do not know how to use this hero, it can lead to a disaster for the team.
• There are no other junglers in the team - This is one of the common mistakes that most beginners encounter. They are not aware that in a team, there must only be one jungler. So if your ally has already pledged to become the core jungler, then do not use this anymore.

1. Endless Battle (2470): Endless Battle gives it all to Yi Sun-shin. It gives him damage, defense, and more.  

2. Flame Hunter’s Magic Shoes (710): Unlike other normal boots, these shoes offer Yi Sun-shin the same benefits as the normal magic shoes but with an addition of Flame Hunter ability. This Flame Hunter allows Yi Sun-shin to deal true damage against heroes.

3.  Blade of Despair (3010): Blade of Despair catalyzes the physical damage of Yi Sun-shin. So even if this is an expensive item, this will surely guarantee you great damage.

4. Berserker’s Fury (2250): If you need critical chance enhancement, then buy this item. This will work well with other items in this build.

5. Malefic Roar (2060): As the jungler, you are expected to attack not just the squishy ones but also the durable enemies. To deal serious damage to these thick heroes, use Malefic Roar.

6. Immortality (2250): From the name itself, Immortality kind of makes the hero immortal. When you buy this, Yi Sun-shin will gain an extra line of defense, allowing him to resurrect after dying.
