Bomber Crew has many options when it comes to crew member customization. However, it’s important to dress each crew member with the correct clothing so they can do their job much more efficiently. Whether it’s running around fixing various instruments or sitting alone, armed to the teeth, and shooting at the enemy, the right gear can go a long way.

Pilot

When it comes to clothing, the pilot is pretty important as they’re the ones flying the plane; if they die, there’s a chance that everyone else will, too. So they must be armored very well to fly to your target and return in one piece.

Bomb Aimer

This crew member has two very important jobs: protecting the aircraft from oncoming fighter planes and aiming/dropping bombs on your targets. Such a role requires some serious armor.

Radio Operator

Tucked away behind the pilot and navigator, this crewmember has some protection from your fuselage; though protected by the bomber's airframe, they’re not invincible and still requirerequires light armor.

Navigator

This stationary-wielding crew member is important; they navigate you to and from your target and should be at least lightly protected. 

When using this member of the crew, you should equip them as follows:

• Electrically Heated Mittens
• Electrically Heated Boots

The equipment above allows you to handle your duties as a navigator comfortably. You’ll also encounter very few problems regarding temperature and oxygen levels higher up in the skies.

If you cannot obtain these items, you should try these instead:

• Service Cap
• Large O2 Bottle
• Combined Survival Vest
• Fingerless Woolen Gloves
• Plimsolls

If the two load-outs are currently out of your reach, try these items instead:

• Woolen Gloves
• Leather Boots

Engineer

This engineer has a very important job requiring a lot of mobility. They spend their time running around repairing various parts of the bomber, putting out fires, climbing on the wings, and repairing fuel tanks and engines. They should be able to run around freely and be lightly armored.

This tech wizard should look like this:

• Flak Helmet Mk 1
• Advanced O2 Bottle
• Medium Flak Vest
• Electrically Heated Mittens
• Electrically Heated Boots

Above is a good mix of mobility and armor. As this is the most mobile member of your crew, this gear keeps them fast enough to run around your bomber but armored enough to grab a turret and defend if they need to.

However, should you not be able to get these items, the next best light loadout would be:

• Toughened Small O2 Bottle
• Combined Survival Vest Mk 1
• Thermal Mittens
• Thermal Boots

And if these are out of your reach, this basic combination will help you:

• Basic Royal Blue

• Light Flak Vest
• Woolen Gloves
• Leather Boots

Upper Ball Gunner

This lonely person sits all day looking at the sky, but when the enemy emerges from the clouds, they can rain lead down upon them and the bomber. This means they should be one of the heaviest armored people inside your bomber.

This lonely crew member should look just like this, armored to the teeth:

• Thermal Flight Suit 3
• Flak Helmet Mk 2
• Advanced O2 Bottle
• Heavy Flak Vest Mk 3
• Electrically Heated Mittens
• Electrically Heated Boots

Being armored like this is very important, as it will prevent damage and be able to soak a lot more damage than normal; however, this comes at the cost of their mobility, causing them to move at a snail's pace with all their armor.

For a slightly lighter and cheaper setup, use this instead:

• Thermal Flight Suit 1
• Flak Helmet Mk 1
• Large O2 Bottle
• Heavy Flak Vest Mk 1
• Thermal Mittens
• Thermal Boots

And for those who are just starting, you should look at equipping a little something like this:

• Basic Royal Blue
• Helmet Mk 1

• Light Flak Vest
• Woolen Gloves
• Leather Boots

Rear Gunner

This loner is your last line of defense facing your rear; they have a large gun to handle their job. Such a large gun requires armor to match. Gear them up to the teeth so they can absorb enemy gunfire while returning it to them.

To be prepared for the rear onslaught, your rear gunner should look like this:

• Thermal Flight Suit 3
• Flak Helmet Mk 2
• Advanced O2 Bottle
• Heavy Flak Vest Mk 3
• Electrically Heated Mittens
• Electrically Heated Boots

When using the rear turret, you should expect damage; the loadout given is a great example of how to sponge their damage while giving it back to them. Though very slow while moving, they are well-equipped to do their job competently.

If these are out of your reach for the moment, use these instead:
