The Darkspawn, a horde of evil creatures intent on invading the world of Thedas have arisen in a Blight. Now, it is up to the Grey Wardens to rise again to destroy the Darkspawn and the source of the Blight. Playing as a Grey Warden, players must gather allies, strengthen their character with new skills, and obtain powerful weapons and armor to fight back the Darkspawn. Three main classes will be available to players namely Warrior, Rogue and Mage. Each class can branch into six different combat specializations, granting them improved combat abilities.

From top-notch RPG developers BioWare, Dragon Age: Origins is a throwback to classic RPGs, employing cutting-edge technology to make for a story-driven adventure in an original, dark fantasy universe.

This is an outdated game now, but it is one of the good ones to get if you haven't played it yet. It's good on console systems, but it's even better on PC with mods added to the game. Especially in the character customization category. The Archdemon at the end of Origins is a challenging boss battle too! You should get this game and give it a try if you haven't played it yet. Good combat and excellent story!

When I first came across this game, the summary on the back of the case was enough to pull me in. I consider it one of the best game purchases I've ever made. The 'relationship quests' were like none I've ever seen before, and the impression it leaves on you after defeating the Archdemon is one that not many games can pull off. If you are looking for a TRPG, this is one you should get.

This game lacked any real storyline changes regardless of which "decisions" you make for your character. This was a poor immitator of the Knights of the Old Republic games

A true heir for Baldur's Gate to pass on the mantle. in an age when Action games rule the market, Bioware had dared to develop an RPG for thinkers, and it has payed of brilliantly. Although Bioware has come out of the D20 system with this game, this game still retains enough strategy to keep players thinking. The world created is so rich and diverse, and character choices with actual consequences have truly made this game stand head and shoulders above other contemporary titles.

Dragon Age: Origins is simply the greatest Western RPG ever made. It may not be pretty to look at, but Origins succeeds on all other fronts, delivering deep and methodical combat, an engaging story set in a fully realized world, and the most meaningful character customization and choices in any non-tabletop RPG I've ever played.

One RPG to rule them all, one RPG to bind them. Dragon Age: Origins IS that one RPG to truly rule over all other RPGs. With a fantastic player-driven story where your choices actually matter, witness as you forge your own destiny in the land of Ferelden. Battling an ancient evil known only as the Darkspawn, and becoming great friends (or enemies) with the very companions who accompany you on your adventures, the world is expansive and your choices are endless. It is your Origin, you decide.

As a gamer who loves RPGs, when i first heard of DA:O I thought great another epic RPG, but then i stepped in great world of Ferelden. Story and lore is great and it will make you feel like you are actually in game yourself. Combat mechanics for the new players might be a little hard, but when you understand it, you have endless possibilties of making new tactics and destroy all Darkspawn you encounter. I just simply enjoy this games and it's my all-time favorite game ever.

When i first played DA:O i thought it was going to be an action RPG, so i got mad at how the character would not respond to my button presses and instead attack slowly on his own. After learning the actual mechanics i inmeditely fell in love with tactical RPGs, DA:O is responsible for that. A game with exciting (and hard) combat, Incredible amounts of Lore and a Story that will have you hating & loving characters as if you were in the game in the flesh. You can´t have a pc and not play this game
